Because they may find that they have known me already or they know someone that I already have known. That's why I have used photos of myself at a younger age so as to re-connect with friends I had in Benoni and Johannesburg. I went to school in Boksburg, played tennis and rugby there and later in life found more interest in long-distance running.
I live in Toronto but would return for the love of my life or maybe the love of my life might want to check out Canada even if just to find out that it really does get cold here and the jerseys/coats bought in South Africa won't last 5 mins in the minus zero temps.
My favourite movies are The Gods Must Be Crazy, Casablanca & Forrest Gump and Brit comedies like Dad's Army that most times guarantee a laugh
